Istanbul Başakşehir F.K. held a signing ceremony for Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek. At the ceremony held at the Istanbul Başakşehir Football Club facilities, Piatek signed a 3-year contract. Piatek said, 'I would like to thank our president and managers. This is a great opportunity and challenge for me. Başakşehir is a big club, I came here for a new challenge.' Piatek had played for important teams in Italy and Germany but had not scored double-digit goals since leaving Milan. Piatek said, 'The last few years have been a bit tough for me. I didn't score double-digit goals after Milan. I'm 28, I think I'm at my best age.' Istanbul Başakşehir Football Club President Göksel Gümüşdağ also expressed his happiness with the Piatek transfer, saying, 'We are experiencing three things at the same time, three years ago today Başakşehir became Turkey's sixth champion. Piatek's signing ceremony coincided with this. Hopefully, we will continue to be a team that competes for the championship and finishes in the top four every year.'
